We focus on research topics in supply chains and production planning. Since the 1990s, firms have responded to globalization and associated market changes by forming a supply chain. Collaboration and innovation are now critical elements for success. As such, we are motivated to study these topics, so as to advance knowledge, allow better understandings, and suggest promising directions for the future.

Research Directions

  • Supply chain management (SCM): Study commercial SCM systems and develop new algorithms and methodologies to enhance their performance.
  • Facility layout planning: Utilize math programming, heuristic algorithms, and other methodologies to develop better layout algorithms (lower costs and improved performance) and a commercial layout system prototype.
  • High-tech industrial trend & dynamics: Study the evolution of high-tech industries and the development of firms’ competitive strategies.
