Chronology

The Graduate Institute of Industrial Management is part of the College of Management at National Central University. Established in 1994, the institute was founded to advance academic theories in industrial management, develop industry-relevant applied knowledge, and cultivate high-level professionals for Taiwan's industrial sector.

At the beginning, the institute offered only a master's program. A doctoral program was introduced in 1999, followed by the launch of an Executive Master's Program in 2002.

Over the past three decades, the institute has steadily grown. It now includes full-time and adjunct faculty members and admits students into master's, executive master's, and doctoral tracks each year.

Our teaching and research cover major domains of industrial management. Research methodology is a core foundation, with curriculum spanning ERP, data analytics, algorithms, information systems, and data science.

Future Outlook

Semiconductors and artificial intelligence are among the most important frontier technologies of today and the coming decade. Taiwan has built strong capabilities in advanced manufacturing and related equipment supply chains.

Looking ahead, the institute will continue integrating teaching and research strengths, refining curriculum design, and collaborating across departments and with industry partners.

Through these efforts, we aim to cultivate high-level industrial management talent, pursue academic and practical excellence, and strengthen our role as a leading institute in industrial management education and research.

Graduate Career Paths

Most graduates pursue careers in high-tech and manufacturing-related industries. In recent years, talent demand has increased significantly in semiconductor, electronics, optoelectronics, communications, and AI-driven operations.

With interdisciplinary training in analytics, operations, and supply chain management, our graduates are well prepared for roles in operations management, planning, quality, process improvement, and data-driven decision making.
