Laboratory Introduction
The purpose of this laboratory is to conduct research in areas related to supply chain and production planning. Over the past decade, with the drive of globalization, companies have formed their own "supply chain" systems. That is, upstream and downstream enterprises must interdepend on each other, share interests, and fully integrate their resources to enhance the overall competitiveness of the supply chain. One of the main research focuses of this laboratory is to explore how to apply mathematical programming and other advanced algorithms for large-scale supply chain planning calculations, as well as the development of planning systems. We also utilize well-known commercial systems such as SAP APO as practical operation platforms to research how domestic enterprises should properly assess and successfully implement these systems, including essential factors like system customization and the necessary knowledge and skills of employees.
Furthermore, sustainable development and environmental protection are current global focuses. Therefore, "Green Supply Chain" is also a key area of research in this laboratory. We aim to integrate concepts such as resource sharing, optimization, recycling, and reuse into the existing supply chain research to develop new theories and operational models. Production planning is a core issue for all manufacturing industries. The laboratory's research in this area currently focuses on the (long-term) planning of factories and facilities, particularly the use of mathematical programming, graphics, combinatorial mathematics, and object-oriented programming to develop a facility planning system that can be applied to real-world situations.Main Areas:
- Supply Chain Management
